Support Our Troops |
How can you help?
Thousands of NRA
members are asking what you can do to support America’s
service members, especially military troops serving
overseas and those injured in combat recovering in
military hospitals. While it would be inappropriate for
NRA to endorse Websites listed here, several
organizations are sponsoring programs directly aiding
members of the armed forces.
The site “Military Phone Card,” for example, provides
details in regard to Defense Department approval for the
Army and Air Force Exchange Service to sell prepaid
phone cards for the general public to donate to
Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom service
members.
On American shores, the number ONE request at the Walter
Reed Medical Center is phone cards for its patients - - wounded
soldiers who are rationing their calls to loved ones at
home. To help on this front, you may send phone cards of
any amount to:
Medical Family Assistance Center
Walter Reed Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20307-5001
(202) 782-3501
National Naval Medical Center
8901 Wisconsin Avenue
Bethesda, Maryland 20814
(301) 295-4611
Our military forces, who place their lives on the line
for freedom, will value and appreciate any support you
can offer them in thanks for their bravery both here and
abroad.
Thank you for all you do in defense of freedom.
