Registration Open for NRA Junior Smallbore Rifle Camp

NRA's Training Department is pleased to announce that registration for the NRA Junior Smallbore Rifle Camp is now open. The camp will be held July 20-25, 2013 at Camp Perry, Ohio.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for junior shooters to learn new skills and sharpen their ability to shoot smallbore rifle," said Russ Evans, Camp Head Coach.

The NRA Junior Smallbore Camp provides instruction in 3-position and 4-position rifle shooting from qualified NRA Certified Coaches, and allows students to enjoy a learning experience that will improve their shooting skills. Intermediate smallbore shooters ages 13-18 are eligible to attend, although beginners will be accepted on a space available basis. Shooters are responsible for providing their own equipment for the camp.

"The coaches do a fantastic job of teaching shooters of all levels at this camp, challenging those near the top to be even better while encouraging those just beginning," said Evans. "It really is a worthwhile experience for every junior shooter."

Tuition is $200 for advanced registration (must be received before June 15, 2013) or $250 for standard registration (paperwork received after June 15, 2013). This covers administrative costs and materials, but does not include travel, lodging, or other expenses. Space is limited.

Camp activities will conflict with the Whistler Boy team match held on July 22, but attendees may be excused to participate. NRA Junior Smallbore Rifle Camp shooters do not need to pay the $25 registration, but are responsible for team fees associated with the match.
